A separator is a splitter pump, a machine that separates mixed substances into two or more different substances. Common separators include centrifugal separators and electrostatic separators.

To maintain a good separation effect, the separator needs to control its liquid level and pressure. The traditional separator liquid level and pressure control adopt constant pressure control technology. In the variable pressure liquid level control of the separator, the float liquid level controller is used to drive the oil and gas regulating valves to act together to control the liquid volume of crude oil and natural gas to complete the adjustment of the liquid level in the separator, but not to the separator. pressure control. The variable pressure liquid level control method can minimize the throttling of the oil and gas outlet valve, reduce the pressure of the separator, and improve the separation effect. Oil-gas separators and oil-gas-water three-phase separators are widely used in oilfield transfer stations and combined stations. To maintain a good separation effect, the separator needs to control its liquid level and pressure.

Centrifugal Separator

When the controller is powered on, the mist suction port generates a strong negative pressure, so that the oil mist is directionally sucked into the mist aspirator. The oil mist particles collide under the action of the wind wheel in the mist aspirator, and the tiny particles aggregate into larger particles that can be controlled.

Electrostatic Separator

According to the second-order principle of the electrostatic field, the fine oil mist particles enter a strong electric field with the airflow and are positively charged. When the charged particles reach the electric field between the collecting discs of the purifier, the particles are attracted by the metal washing discs and adhere to the metal discs, thereby separating the oil mist from the air and achieving the purification effect.

Comparison of centrifugal and electrostatic oil mist separators:

The centrifugal oil mist separator has a wide range of applications, and the requirements of the multi-shop environment are not very high; the electrostatic oil mist separator can only be used in a relatively dry workshop environment. For workshops with very large mist, the conductivity of water is easy. Short circuit the oil mist separator electric field.

The separation effect of the centrifugal oil mist separator is not as fine as that of static electricity. The separable particle diameter of an electrostatic oil mist separator can be as small as 0.01 micron.
